Bomkai are the fine quality cotton handloom sarees of Orissa. They feature fine bhutta on the ground and have elaborate threadwork border and pallu.
Orissa Ikat Saris:Orissa is most well known for its Ikat Patterning. The dyefastness of colors used really is a must for ikat work and the dyes on these sarees are bombproof and long lasting. The cotton cloth is super fine and densely woven, with a slight flannelly touch. It's density and border weight give it a heavier drape that's a delight to wear. The quality ikats we feature in the Sarishop are all hand picked and represent exceptionally well executed examples of the craft.
Orissa Tribal Saris:As original as it gets - subdued geometric indigenous designs - these pieces are very hard to get these days - many exclusive pieces from Habaspuri, Kotpad and Siminoi are only available in the Sarishop! This section also includes tribal dupattas, sarees and shawls - so make sure you are reading the description carefully.
